Campari is an Italian liquor made from the infusion of fruits and herbs in water and alcohol. With characteristic red colour, Campari is an excellent addition to your bar shelf and contains some serious amount of alcohol content. It has a unique taste of butter, sweet and spicy all at the same time and is a type of bitter. But this liquor is a little right, so follow the three recipes to the letter.

All that’s left is gathering some ice and glasses.

Campari Soda

A bright red drink, this might be as tasty as it is pretty. And all you need to prepare this is three ingredients. Gather your Campari, some sparkling wine, soda, and orange. In a glass, pour 60mL of Campari, 90mL sparkling wine, and a splash of soda. Garnish with an orange peel and you have yourself a Campari soda. This recipe made enough for two servings.

The Campari Zap

The drink like the name suggests will “zap” you into their tasty vortex. The recipe is simple and great to serve at a party or occasion. You’ll need vodka, Campari, aromatic bitters, lemon, and ice to prepare this. In a cocktail shaker, add 30mL of Campari, 20mL of vodka, a dash of aromatic bitters and ice and shake. Optionally, garnish with a lemon wedge.

The Boulevardier

This is a New York City famous Campari cocktail. It’s somewhere between Manhattan and Negroni. Enjoying this however is an acquired taste. You’ll need three ingredients to make this: bourbon, Campari, and sweet vermouth. Pour 30mL of bourbon, 15mL of Campari, and 15mL of sweet vermouth into a tall glass. Stir with a tall spoon till the glass become cold. Then pour into a coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist and ice.
