Now, we might not be able to celebrate Holi with many of our loved ones due to covid-19 but that doesn’t mean we should skip the delicacies! In fact, it is all the more reason to indulge in cooking for our family and whip up some of the traditional things.

That’s why we have got you the recipe for a really refreshing beverage that no one can even imagine Holi without – paan thandai.

Thandai is basically a milk-based cold beverage that’s prepared to quench the thirst of all those playing Holi in the sun. It is made with spices, nuts and seeds which gives it a wholesome taste. Plus, it is a healthy drink! So, even if you are conscious about your health and weight, you can try sipping this paan thandai without any worries.

So, let’s first quickly learn how to prep this amazing cooler!

Ingredients:

Quantity: 2 glasses

2 betel leaves
5 almonds
5 pistachios
1 tsp khus khus seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp cardamom powder
½ tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp thandai powder
3 to 4 tbsp honey
3 to 4 rose petals
500 ml double-toned milk
4 to 5 saffron figs
Ice (as per your liking)

Directions:

Step 1: Add almonds, pistachio, khus seeds, fennel, betel leaves, and rose petals to a blender. Mix these ingredients in the blender.

Step 2: Now, add milk, cardamom powder, pepper, thandai powder, honey, 3 saffron figs, and ice to this mix. Blend again.

Step 3: Pour it in a glass and garnish it with saffron fig and rose petals!
