Food is accessible to fit all budgets and tastes all across the world. Some people prefer simple dishes, while others choose to enhance their eating experience by purchasing expensive items. The price of a food item is frequently determined by its availability, whether it is in season, the type of food and how difficult it is to grow, manufacture or cook. Fillet steak, lobster and truffles are typically the first things that come to mind when thinking about pricey meals. Ice cream is one of those foods that you wouldn't think would be costly solely because it is frequently manufactured using simple ingredients and is usually available at a modest cost. However, there are ice creams available that are even more expensive than the price of a new car. Here are some of the world's costliest ice creams.

Scoopi’s Black Diamond- $817 Per Scoop

Although the majority of the expensive ice creams are offered as a sundae with additional ingredients added to the ice cream, there are some ice creams that can be purchased by the scoop for outrageous prices. Scoopi's Black Diamond ice cream is the most expensive of the category, priced at $817 per scoop. The ice cream is made with a simple Madagascar vanilla bean ice cream as the base. Because of the other chemicals added to this, it is extremely expensive. You can get this at Dubai's Scoopi Cafe. Among them are 23-karat gold flakes, rare ambrosial Iranian saffron and Italian truffles. As a remembrance of their dining experience, customers can take home a single scoop of outstanding ice cream presented in a Versace dish with a matching spoon.

Three Twins Ice Cream Sundae- $3,333

The creators of the Absurdity Sundae also offer a more economical dessert choice, which goes by the same name. This dish is only $3,333.33, a quarter of the cost of the company's other pricey desserts. Because it's served like a banana split and topped with a range of unusual syrups made from rare dessert wines, this dessert has a fun element to it. Three Twins was a nationwide wholesaler of ice cream products and owned and operated three brick and mortar ice cream stores in Northern California. A third of the cost of this sundae goes to a land trust.

The Victoria- $1,000

The Victoria is a one-of-a-kind ice cream dish available only at Chicago's Langham Hotel's Pavilion Restaurant. In this sundae, vanilla and chocolate ice creams are laced with Hennessy VSOP cognac. On top of that, gold dust is sprinkled, followed by a 24-karat gold leaf. This sundae will cost you $1,000.

Serendipity Haute Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae- $25,000

If you have $25,000 to spare, you could try Serendipity 3 in New York City's Frrrozen Haute Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae. This decadent treat is constructed with unique cocoa blends, truffle pieces, whipped cream and milk in an ice cream base. Inside the ice cream, there's even a chunk of 23-karat gold ice cream. It's served with a gold spoon in a gold goblet. Customers who order this $25,000 dessert will also receive an 18-karat gold bracelet as a memento.

There you have it, some of the options if you ever decide to go for the most luxurious ice creams.
