Making Egg Biryani For Dinner? Find The Perfect Recipe

Is there anyone on this planet who can say no to soulful Biryani? No, I guess. Every single moment is a biryani moment. Some love chicken biryani while some just can’t do without mutton biryani. For vegetarians, there is delicious veg biryani and for eggetarians, there is delicious, soulful and tempting egg biryani. Egg biryani is the perfect balance between vegetarians and non-vegetarians! 

Versatility of eggs is not hidden from anyone. From egg curry to anda bhurji, to omellete to ande ka halwa, we have so many dishes made from egg, and we love all these, isn’t it? This time we have brought an interesting and royal makeover to eggs, and we are talking about our beloved egg biryani. Trust me, egg biryani is no way inferior to its other counterparts. So, what if you don’t eat chicken or mutton, you can have this amazingly delicious biryani following the steps below! You may thank us later!

Ingredients 

  • 2 Cups Basmati rice (soaked) 
  • 6 eggs 
  • 1 onion (sliced) 
  • 10 Green chilies (slit) 
  • 4 cloves 
  • 1 bay leaf 
  • 1 tsp biryani masala  
  • 1/2 tsp peppercorns 
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste 
  • 1 inch cinnamon 
  • 2 tbsp Oil 
  • Salt to taste 

Method 

  • To begin with, boil and shell four eggs.  
  • Meanwhile, heat a large pan and add all the whole spices mentioned above. 
  • Sauté well. Then, add onions and green chilies. Also add ginger-garlic paste and sauté. 
  • Sauté until the onions turn golden brown. 
  • Then, break the remaining two eggs in a pan and scramble them. 
  • Thereafter, add the drained rice and fry them for a minute. Add salt and mix. 
  • Add in the boiled eggs along with four to five cups of water. 
  • Cover the lid and cook until the rice is half done.  
  • Add in the biryani masala. Also, add lemon juice and mix well. 
  • Cover and let it cook. Cook until the water evaporates.  
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve! 

Some Handy Tips 

  • One must use long grain basmati rice for making biryani as it gives the right definition. Besides, good quality rice blend with the spices well and make the biryani more fragrant and delicious.  
  • In case you don’t have a Biryani masala, you can add pulao masala. If you don’t have pulao masala, you can simply use coriander powder, red chili powder and turmeric as per the requirement.
