One may experiment with a lot of different flavours of gummy worms such as cola, watermelon, strawberries, lemon and so on. While you may have eaten a lot — and we mean a lot - of gummy worms in your entire life, there are some amazing and creative ways to use them in other things. But of course, that is only as long as you know what gummy worms are. Their chewiness is derived from gelatin; a colourless, flavourless substance that is mildly shocking to some because it is made from collagen taken from animal body parts. There’s one way of using gummy worms that we’d like to share.

Thinking of making popsicles? Just throw in a few gummy worms in the popsicle molds. We see that you just cringed. But do you remember when you created those epic drinks experiments in college? That was you. We, however, can tell between a good and a bad idea. These treats are delicious, easy and definitely worth making for kids and adults alike. Here’s what you can do to make gummy worm popsicles for kids. Just combine some sprite and gummy worms together, and refrigerate until the batch is frozen.

You can now improve this incredibly simple idea of combining gummy worms and a beverage. Alcohol devotees, here’s your chance. If you really want to lean into a drink that works for adults, try adding soda and spirit. You can either add gin, vodka, or rum to the tonic, soda or water. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

  1. 10-12 gummy worms
  2. 1 bottle of sparkling water
  3. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  4. 20 ml of gin (optional)
  5. 40 ml of tonic (optional)

METHOD

  1. In popsicle molds, put the gummy worms first.
  2. Now add the sparkling water.
  3. Freeze overnight.
  4. Serve.
  5. If you're making a boozy version, mix gummy worms, gin and tonic only.

We hope that you’ll enjoy this recipe!
