Don’t Throw Away Jackfruit Seeds; Use Them For Culinary Purposes

There are several vegetables that serve different purposes. For example, jackfruit can be used to make sabzi, kebab, fried snacks and various other recipes. Jackfruit Seed Sabzi


  1. Jackfruit seeds - 200 grams
  2. Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  4. Onion - 1 finely chopped
  5. Salt - according to taste
  6. Coriander leaves - 2 tsp
  7. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  8. Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
  10. Cumin - 1 tsp
  11. Tomato - 1


  1. To make this sabzi, first of all, cut the seed into two parts.
  2. After cutting, peel and clean them with water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, onion, ginger-garlic paste and fry it for some time.
  4. After frying for about 5 minutes, add jackfruit seeds, tomatoes, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and a cup of water.
  5. After cooking for about 10-15 minutes, turn off the gas and serve it by adding coriander leaves on top.

Jackfruit Seed Pudding


  1. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  2. Jackfruit seeds - 200 grams
  3. Dry fruits - 1/2 cup
  4. Mawa - 50 grams
  5. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  6. Ghee - 1/3 cup
  7. Milk - 2 cups


  1. To make jackfruit seed pudding, first put the seeds in a cooker and boil them well.
  2. After this, peel the seeds, put them in the mixer and grind them coarsely. 
  3. Heat ghee, put the ground seeds, and fry them in a pan. After frying for some time, add mawa to it.
  4. After frying for about 5 minutes, add other ingredients except for dry fruits and cook for some time.
  5. After cooking for some time, put dry fruits on top and turn off the gas.
  6. Tasty jackfruit seed pudding is ready to serve.

Jackfruit Seed Namkeen

Apart from these two recipes, you can also make a great snack with jackfruit seeds. For this:

  1. First, peel the jackfruit seeds well.
  2. After peeling the roots, heat oil in a pan and deep fry them.
  3. Then, add chaat masala and black salt over the seeds and mix it well before serving.
