During the pandemic, as much as we stressed on Vocal for Local, another term made the rounds too. It was Make In India. The idea behind this initiative was to promote the domestic manufacturing and production of items that are usually imported. Given the large sector of the population engaged in the agricultural industry, it is natural that India is self-sufficient in grains and cereals. From fresh fruits to vegetables and dairy products are made available to us through local farms. This has encouraged several people to indulge in the concept of kitchen gardens. Laying the seeds for their own watermelons and tomatoes and watching them grow gives a joy which is unmatched.
Dia Mirza is doing just that. The Indian actress cum model reached one of the top 3 positions at the Miss Universe and was crowned Miss Asia Pacific. She has featured in several popular Hindi films like Munna Bhai MBBS and Sanju. Working for social causes these days, we spotted Dia Mirza doing something interesting recently. The actress posted a series of stories on her Instagram handle, sharing glimpses of her full-grown pomegranates. In one of her stories, she was seen holding two pomegranates in fist and it had the text sticker, “Born and Raised”. Seems like Dia Mirza is quite proud of her ghar ki kheti.
Here is a glimpse of her story.
The refreshing mint leaves cannot be replaced by any other in a citrusy lemonade. Add fruits like strawberry and pomegranate pulp to it and it becomes a wholesome drink.
