International Vodka Day 2023: 2 Cocktails To Celebrate The Day

On October 4th, the world celebrates International Vodka Day. It is the day to recognise this popular spirit in all its forms. Used as a base in a variety of cocktails and mixed drinks, this clear and versatile beverage has ruled the universe of mixology for generations. As vodka has a neutral flavour profile, this alcohol is ideal for everyone.

It is said to have originated either in Russia or Poland. Vodka mainly consists of water and ethanol that are extracted from the fermentation of cereal grains like wheat, sorghum, or rye, along with the flavour of fruits and sugar. Many brands also use potatoes and additives such as spices to achieve distinctive character in the liquor. Some popular mixers for vodka are cranberry juice, club soda, strawberry lemonade, and orange juice.
