Oscars 2026, the most eagerly awaited annual global night, is just about to begin. While the guest list, the red carpet looks, and the winners of the 98th Academy Awards are revealed, a sneak peek of the menu was recently posted on Instagram by Wolfgang Puck Catering. The official after-party, known as the Governors Ball, is where the brightest stars drop their guards, and well, their diets and relish the fine food.
For the 32nd consecutive year, the culinary legend Wolfgang Puck has designed an unforgettable menu for the 98th Academy Awards. With champagnes flowing amid the chatter, reportedly the menu will feature small plates and bites, with highlights like chocolate Oscar statuettes, caviar, mac and cheese, steak, chicken pot pie, and much more. With Wolfgang Puck’s signature dishes, elegantly presented appetisers, and comfort dishes elevated with premium dishes, the after-party is not the usual sit-down dinner. Instead, guests move between live stations, greeting each other whilst enjoying a buffet of bite-sized creations and small plates. The small portions let the celebrities in fitted gowns and tuxedos move and eat freely. As per reports, there would also be a live sushi station where five chefs will be preparing handrolls and nigiri.

Showcasing a series of finely curated small plates at the preview of the Oscars 2026, Wolfgang Puck’s recent Instagram post was captioned, “For the 98th Academy Awards Governors Ball, our chefs are serving a lineup of Wolfgang Puck’s classics alongside exciting new dishes.”

- Spring gazpacho
- Confit duck potstickers
- Smoked salmon Oscar lavosh
- Chicken pot pie
- Truffle mac & cheese
Another Instagram post had a witty caption that suggested the recipe for the magical night.

- 120 Chefs
- 600 lbs Total of House-Smoked Salmon, Sushi Grade Hamachi, Japanese Black Cod, Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna, and Ora King Salmon
- 160 kg Japanese Miyazaki Farms A5 Beef Wagyu
- 200 lbs Nishiki Rice
- 200 lbs Dry Aged Ribeye
- 30 lbs Kaluga Caviar
- 2 gallons 24K Liquid Gold
- 200 lbs Wild Mushrooms

The Drinks Menu At Oscars 2026

The bar program at the Governors Ball will be as grand as the films being celebrated. While champagne remains the classic cheer, there will be a lineup of cocktails featuring fresh citrus notes, herbs, and premium spirits. Some highlights will be Clarendelle and Domaine Clarence Dillon wines, Dassai Blue sake, and Piper-Heidsieck Champagne. The drinks will be served with small bar snacks like mini burgers, gourmet fries, tacos, and more.
Desserts And The Live Ice Cream Stations
Keeping all the sweet tooths satiated, the desserts will be plentiful. In a recently posted Instagram reel, Chef Wolfgang Pluck takes the audience to the live-spin ice cream and gelato, saying, “My favourite is the Parmesan ice cream with black truffles.”

Apart from the iconic chocolate Oscar statuette, made with high-quality chocolate and edible gold dust, the dessert lineup will reportedly include a macaron tower, parfaits, mini cheesecakes, and the list goes on.
When To Watch the Oscars 2026
The 98th annual Academy Awards will be broadcast live on ABC stations on Sunday, the 15th of March 2026, at 7 PM EDT (4 PM PDT). As for India, it’ll air on Monday, the 16 March 2026, from 4:30 AM to 7:30 AM.
