In a recent interview, Hrithik’s fitness trainer, Kris Gethin talked about how the robust actor maintains his physique and got ready for his upcoming release Fighter. In the trailer of Fighter, Hrithik can be seen flaunting an exquisite physique that stars him and Deepika Padukone as pilots for the Indian Air Force. Kris explains that Hrithik is dedicated to the process and his body is an outcome of consistency and relentlessness. While working out regularly plays a very important role in giving him the physique required for his movies, diet is also a critical part of the overall fitness journey. Hrithik strictly sticks to eating only healthy food and some of his staples include chicken, egg whites, fish, and whey protein. For carbohydrates, he likes to consume food that has more complex carbohydrates like oats, quinoa, rice and sweet potato.

The meal plan Hrithik follows is meticulously crafted to cater to his personal needs. He consumes at least 6 to 7 meals every day that give him the needed energy to work out vigorously and also perform day-to-day activities. All of these meals are placed smartly through equal intervals of the day so that he doesn't feel hungry at any point of the day. Sticking to three meals a day is not appropriate for someone who indulges in such extensive physical labour for working out. This helps him avoid unhealthy eating patterns and feeling hungry at any point of the day.
