Ingredients:

1 cup Wheat (Coarse)

1/2 cup Moong dal (yellow)

1/4 cup Almonds

1/4 cup Wheat mix

1.5 tsp Powdered jaggery

1/2 cup Water (hot)

3/4 cup Milk (hot)

Method:

Heat a pan with a thick bottom. Next, dry roast the almonds over a low to medium flame for 5 minutes. Remove the roasted nut, let it cool, and then ground it coarsely. Moong dal should be well washed before drying outside in the sun for 20 minutes. Sundried moong dal should be added to the pan and roasted till golden brown. Currently, combine coarse almond powder with the ground-up roasted moong dal. The coarse wheat should now be roasted until it emits a pleasant nutty scent. Once everything is combined, the grains can be used to make wheat porridge.

Take a pan and fill it with 1/4 cup water, then add jaggery powder or unrefined sugar. Wait for it to melt fully while letting it boil. Use a strainer to remove the jaggery water, then transfer it to a saucepan. Put 1/2 cup of the wheat mixture in a pan. Cook it for 10 to 15 minutes. The porridge must be constantly stirred during cooking to prevent sticking. When the wheat can be readily pressed and mashed with the back of a spoon, it has finished cooking. Now, add milk to this. Give it another five minutes to simmer. Turn off the flame after checking the porridge's consistency. Serve it warm.

Recipe Tips

For improved flavour and nutrition, combine the cereal with extra nutritious ingredients such powdered cashews or almonds. Make a semi-fine powder out of the wheat mixture if it's the first time you're giving your child wheat porridge. Fruits including bananas, chikoos, and apples can be included in this dish.
