Tulsi, 'the holy basil’, is a prominent herb also known as ‘Queen of all Herbs’. It is used since the Vedic era as medicine. Currently, many more systemic conditions are said to be cured through the use of various parts of this plant. Tulsi’s Latin name is Ocimum sanctum Linn and is also considered a sacred plant in India. It had been used since Atharbveda time in medicinal practice. It is a medicinal ayurvedic herb that has a long list of health benefits.
