Elderly Street Vendor In Delhi Sells Chikkis For ₹10; Wins Hearts On The Internet

Talking of food trends, a new video floating on social media is melting the hearts of netizens. It has already attracted the attention of millions of Indians, and has even lured the attention of Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra.

A food blogger, with the username @thefoodiehat, took to his Instagram handle to post a video about this 85-year-old man, who was found giving away chikkis for ₹10. He sells peanuts and chikkis at Delhi’s at Nehru Place, and is usually seen walking around the neighbourhood, carrying the chikkis and gajaks in a basket over his head. He fights against all odds to roam around the locality the whole day to sell the goodies.

 

The video has garnered over four million views, 731k likes and hundreds of comments from netizens across India. A user has commented, “His smile and that thing to work hard and not depend on anyone 👏👏👏👏👏👏 (sic)”, while another has said, “Allha zindagi Ki sari khushiya De inko or sukun bhi ❤️ (sic)”. 

The video also grabbed the attention of Parineeti, who shared the reel on her Instagram story and wrote, “My friends in Delhi. He's at Nehru Place Market. Please find him and give him whatever you can!
