Winter has arrived and now is the time to indulge in some delectable delicacies that can satiate our soul. In this season we crave some warm and comforting food that can protect us from chilly breeze and cold weather. Gajar ka halwa, gond ke laddoo, thukpa, gushtaba and undhiyu are some of the popular winter dishes of India.  

However, our main concern arises when planning the menu for dinner. It is the most awaited meal of the day as finally after a hectic schedule we get to relax and enjoy delicious food. Paneer Kofta Curry

Mutton Kofta

Mutton kofta is prepared by cooking minced mutton along with yoghurt, gram flour and aromatic spices like asafoetida, cinnamon, garam masala and black cardamom. 

Malai Kofta

This classic dish is very popular among vegetarians for dinner parties. It is a melt-in-mouth curry that is made with deep fried potato-paneer stuffed balls dipped in a luscious and creamy gravy. Malai kofta goes well with naan, steamed rice or any kind of paratha. Besides dinner you can also serve it for lunch.  

Mushroom Palak Kofta

This is a nutrition-packed recipe that is prepared with two of the healthiest vegetables; mushroom and spinach. It is a great way to make your picky kids eat these vegetables. The kofta is filled with palak and mushroom that is fried and dipped in a flavourful gravy of tomatoes, ginger-garlic and spices. Mushroom palak kofta goes well with both rice as well as roti. 

Nargisi Kofta

This is among the most popular kofta varieties. Nargisi kofta is a royal dish that is made with the goodness of saffron combined with yoghurt and lots of spices like garam masala, chilli powder and coriander. The kofta balls usually consist of minced meat and egg that is deep fried in oil. It goes well with roti, pulao, steamed rice and naan.  

Chicken Kofta Curry

This is a perfect dinner recipe for all chicken lovers. Made with minced chicken, onion, breadcrumbs and lots of spices, the meatballs are dipped in a rich and spicy gravy consisting of tomato puree, yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste and spices. This traditional dish from Mughlai cuisine is best served with rumali roti or butter naan.
