Your body's fluid and pH balance can become out of sync if electrolytes like chloride, sodium, potassium, and carbon dioxide are not balanced. While the average person can get all the salt they need from their diet, it's still a good idea to see a doctor if you're still experiencing signs of chloride shortage.
