Creamy And Cheesy Chicken Lasagna

One of the oldest types of pasta, Lasagne is a delicious Italian dish prepared of stacked layers of thin flat pasta alternating with fillings such as tomato sauce or white sauce. It is loaded with cheese and vegetables such as mushrooms, corn and spinach and even chicken. The recipe has a lot of seasonings as well as spices such as garlic, oregano and basil. It is a creamy dish which is topped with melted grated mozzarella cheese. 

It is a perfect meal to enjoy in daylight. You can have it along with some drink such as coffee or mojito as per your preference. Here’s the recipe to prepare Chicken Lasagne at home.

Ingredients:

Mornay Sauce 

1. 150gms of Butter

2. 150gms of Flour

3. 1 ltr of Cold Milk 

4. 2 Whisked Egg Yolks

5. 200gms of Gruyere Cheese 

6. Salt & Pepper 

Marinara Sauce 

1. Olive Oil 

2. Garlic

3. Dry Red Chillies 

4. Basil Leaves 

5. Tomato Puree 

6. 1 tsp of Sweet Paprika

7. Dry Oregano 

8. Salt & Black Pepper 

9. Water

1. First, let’s begin to prepare Mornay sauce. Take a pan and put butter as well as flour in it. Heat them together on a low flame and let them boil. Once it starts to boil, put milk and whisk them until the batter get thickens 

2. Next, include egg yolks and whisk them continuously for a while. Now, add grated Gruyere cheese, salt and pepper and keep them aside for a while 

3. Now, let’s prepare the Marinara sauce. Take a pan, add olive oil, garlic, dry red chillies, basil leaves and tomato puree to it. Cook them on a medium-high flame until it comes to a boil

4. Put sweet paprika and dry oregano. Mix them well for a while then add salt, black pepper, basil and some amount of water. Now, let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes 

5. Next, add minced chicken to the boiling sauce and cook it in the salt itself on a low flame. After some time turn off the flame and keep it aside for a while 

6. Now, let’s prepare Lasagna. Take a saucepan put some water in it and let it boil. After it boils,  add salt

7. Now put the sheets in it and stir it for a minute. Let it cook for approximately 2-3 minutes. Transfer them once they are soft and turn off the flame. Immerse the sheets into cold water and drain them properly 

8. Now, let’s assemble the dish. Take a casserole dish and apply butter to it. Add mornay sauce base and sheets followed by mozzarella cheese. Next, put the mornay sauce, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese and follow this process until all of these are fully used 

9. Next, on the top layer sprinkle some mozzarella cheese, mornay sauce, breadcrumbs 

10. Finally, bake the lasagna for 30 minutes at 190 degrees 

11. Once done, take it out and let it cool down for 10 to 15 minutes. Finally, the Chicken Lasagna is ready to serve
