Bored Of Bland Almond Milk? Make It Flavourful With These Tips

A daiy substitute with no cholesterol, no added sugar, and little salt is almond milk. It has a mild nutty flavour and is a little thinner than cow's milk. Almond milk is available in supermarkets or can be made at home. Almond milk with flavours like chocolate or vanilla is produced by numerous companies, although the added sugar content is significant. The flavour of almond milk may be difficult for you to adjust to if you are used to drinking dairy milk. There are other methods to flavour or subtly sweeten your glass of milk without just adding a ton of sugar. As a result, the flavour of the almond milk is enhanced. 

Adding flavour 

If you're planning to flavour the almond milk yourself, buy plain or unsweetened varieties. More than 20 g of sugar are often present in each serving of commercially produced chocolate or vanilla almond milk. Make Almond Milk instead and end there. Use maple syrup, honey, agave nectar, or granulated sugar to sweeten almond milk. For every 4 cups (0.95 l) of unsweetened almond milk, stir in 1 tbsp (12 g or 14.8 ml) of the sweetener. Until the grains dissolve, stir briskly. If needed, include more.  Depending on the flavour you want, add 1 of the following flavourings to your milk. Starting with the measurements mentioned, flavouring should be done to taste. You can add just enough seasoning to simply improve the flavour of the almond milk, or you can add enough to completely cover it up. For every 4 cups (0.95 l) of almond milk, add 1 tsp (4.9 ml) of vanilla extract. If you prefer a very strong vanilla flavour, double the amount. Stir Well.  Add almond extract to give the flavour of almonds more oomph. For every 4 cups (0.95 l) of almond milk, add 1 tsp (4.9 ml) of almond extract Stir nicely. To make chocolate almond milk, mix 1 tbsp. of sugar or agave syrup with 2 tbsp. (14 g) of cocoa powder in 4 cups (0.95 l) of unsweetened almond milk. Put a dash of salt in. Up until everything has dissolved, stir thoroughly. If you're using plain, sweetened almond milk, skip the sugar. To make chai almond milk, combine 4 cups (0.95 l) of unsweetened almond milk with 1 tbsp. of sugar or agave syrup, 1/2 tsp. (1.3 g) of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. (0.5 g) of nutmeg, and 1/8 tsp. (0.25 g) of cloves. If you're using sweetened almond milk, remove the sugar. Give it a nice stir The taste will become stronger the longer the spices are allowed to steep in the milk before consumption. 

Adding Fruits 

In a blender, add 4 cups of almond milk without sugar.  To unsweetened almond milk, add 2 cups (about 150–300 g) of sliced fruit. The following fruits pair well with this recipe: peaches, strawberries, mango, raspberries, and blueberries. Fruit should be prepared by removing any seeds or pits. 30 to 50 ml of agave syrup or honey should be mixed in, between 2 and 4 tbsp. Sprinkle a little salt . put the lid on, and mix for two minutes at high speed. After boiling, pour the milk into a dish and strain it through cheesecloth. By doing so, the fruit's pulp and seeds will be eliminated. You can keep milk in the fridge for up to three days if it is kept in airtight containers. 

Scenting The Milk 

Fill a glass jar with one to two cups of almond milk. Reduce the amount of oxygen in the container by filling it to the brim. Before you put the lid on your jar, add 1 of the ingredients listed below. Three cinnamon sticks should be broken up and added to the milk. Roll 1/4 cup (67 g) of fresh mint between your fingers to make it bruised. Stir it after adding it to the milk. Roll the petals of one rose between your fingers to create bruises. Put them into the milk and mix them around. One vanilla bean's seeds should be scraped into the milk. They should be thoroughly mixed. Make sure the milk jars are airtight by covering them. For one day, put them in the fridge. By putting the milk through a strainer, get rid of them and get rid of the plant or spice particles. The flavour of the plant or spice will taste detectable in scented almond milk. The smell can enhance the taste of the milk just by breathing it in.
