Let's face it - no matter how much we think of sticking to a diet, steer clear of our cravings, a sight of plum cake and mulled wine is enough to make us forget winter vows to healthy lifestyle. But what if we told you, you could enjoy the winter season by relishing some delicious treats while keeping your health in check? Oats are one of those ingredients that can effortlessly fit in all your diets without compromising on flavour. Its versatility is unmatched. Oats are abundant in protein, good fats and a unique fibre called beta glucan which regulates blood sugar and pressure levels. What's more? it also has micronutrients like magnesium, zinc and iron that helps you meet your daily requirements.

From dal-oats khichdi to some hearty carrot-oats cupcakes, oats can be moulded into anything that your heart craves. Raghav Gupta of Oateo India echoes our thoughts and says "It's a common misconception that oats are only meant for breakfast porridges. They're especially well suited as a replacement or addition to any recipe that requires a base of grain. The best part about oats is that it's naturally gluten free, low on the glycemic index and full of nutrients."
