And truly, there is nothing much to talk about except the fact that people are always sweating and always irritable. But as they say, there is a silver lining to every cloud, the city too boasts of some special delights that makes the weather tolerable in its own sweet way. Here are 5 drinks you must have in Delhi, especially in summer.
1. Pyaar Mohabbat Sharbat
When a drink is named ‘pyaar mohabbat’ (love and affection), you know you cannot be expecting a bubbly soda or a hard cocktail. Pyaar Mohabbat Sharbat is one of Old Delhi’s hidden gems that is now getting its (much deserved) due among foodies of Delhi. This pretty pink drink is made with milk, ice cubes, rose syrup and chopped watermelon chunks. You can easily find this drink in Chandni Chowk. Drink and spread love!
2. Fruit Beer
This has been every child’s dream come true. A beer without alcohol, a beer they could have with their parents while visiting the ever-so fascinating Dilli Haat. The subtle, sweet flavour of the beverage makes it an ideal accompaniment to the hot and fiery dishes available in the different eateries.
3. Depaul’s Coffee
Much before the outburst of cosy cafes in the capital, it was Depaul’s sweet and strong cold coffee that drew Delhiites out of their homes, irrespective of the weather or time. Depaul’s outlets are available across Delhi-NCR.

4. Keventer’s Milk Shakes
What started out as a small shop serving up a range of thick and loaded milkshakes (the bottles of which you could carry home), has now become one of Delhi’s biggest merchandises. From chocolate milkshake, pista-badam, Nutella to black currant, there are options galore.
5. Banta
A street-style lemon soda sold in the coolest bottle there can ever be. The cool drink comes in a mini glass bottle on the mouth of which lays a marble ball (kancha). The soda is often flavoured with salt or cumin and can be found easily across every nook and cranny of the city.
