Sprouted Whole Grain

Sprouted breads are filled with folate and antioxidants. They are made from sprouted whole grains. Notably, sprouting happens when you expose the grain to heat and moisture. According to a research published in the journal Food & Nutrition Research, bread prepared using sprouted wheat have more than 3 times more folate than those made without sprouted wheat. Folate is a vitamin that helps in the conversion of food into energy.

Sourdough

It is prepared through fermentation that helps in reducing the number of  phytic acid called phytates. It impairs the absorption of certain nutrients by binding to them. According to a study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. Sourdough has been found to have a low glycemic index and thus it is good for those suffering from diabetes.

Whole Wheat Bread

Whole grain bread is rich in fibre and is more nutritious than refined grains. During processing, bran and germ are removed to make 100 per cent whole wheat bread. 

Oat Bread
