Cooking Directions

• STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 325��F.
• STEP 2.In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Season the round steak with salt and pepper, then coat it in flour.
• STEP 3.Sear the steak on both sides until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
• STEP 4.In the same skillet, add onions and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
• STEP 5.Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves. Bring to a simmer.
• STEP 6.Return the seared steak to the skillet and cover with the tomato mixture.
• STEP 7.Cover the skillet with a lid or foil and transfer to the preheated oven. Bake for 2-3 hours, or until the steak is tender.
• STEP 8.Remove the bay leaves and serve the Swiss steak hot with the gravy spooned over the top.
