STEP 1.In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
STEP 2.Remove the pot from heat and add 4 tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.
STEP 3.Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar until dissolved.
STEP 4.Add 4 cups of cold water and stir in 1/4 cup of lemon juice.
STEP 5.Refrigerate the sweet tea for at least 1 hour to chill.
