I have used fresh grated coconut to reduce the bitterness. This is our traditional recipe and has been passed down to me from my granny. This is very nutritious and healthy vegetable has lots of medicinal properties. It reduces risk of heart disease, controls blood sugar, helps in digestion, to control weight, fever etc.
