Banana Pudding Milk Shake Recipe

Recipe By Southern Living

Its summer in the south and that means the heat and humidity are up. You might be thinking there is no relief, but we have a few ideas to keep you cool. Our favorite way to stay chilled during the summer starts with the icebox. During the summer a southern freezer is stocked with ice creams, ice pops, and a few icebox pies. You may think it is too hot to heat up the oven and bake your favorite banana pudding, but that doesnt mean you have to do without the taste. This banana pudding milk shake is cool and refreshing. This treat doesnt have to be just for dessert; we love it for an afternoon snack as well. You only need 5 ingredients for this creamy drink. Chances are you already have a few on hand. If you have bananas, vanilla bean ice cream, and vanilla wafers, you can create this summer treat in just 10 minutes. Process bananas in a blender, and add your favorite vanilla bean ice cream and a little whole milk. Divide mixture among four glasses and top with whipped cream, slices of banana, and a crumble of crushed vanilla wafers. A step for making a milkshake you might not have considered? Chill your glasses before you pour in the shake to keep your drink nice and cool. Easy as pie. Kick off your flip-flops and enjoy this delightful summer shake on the porch with three friends (or by yourself if youre feeling indulgent. ).
