STEP 1.Peel 3apples, core from the middle and cut into round slices.. Add sugar and lime juice, toss it and keep it aside
STEP 2.Take an aluminium cake pan ...I took an 8" pan . Put it on the gas on low flame...
STEP 3.Add 2 tbs butter,let it melt a bit, swirl it all around.Then add brrown sugar and let it cook on low flame till you see bubbles all over.Switch off the flame,swirl the caramel as we want it to coat the bottom of the pan and keep the pan aside to set for 10 min.If you are in a hurry keep the pan in the refrigerator for 5 min to set.
STEP 4.Now Arrange the apples on the caramelized layer in the pan ,stuff the apple slice holes with black raisins or balls made with soft dates.Now sprinkle cinnamon powder on the apples,then add another layer of apples and sprinkle cinnamon powder. Keep it aside.
STEP 5.Add lime juice to milk and mix it well. Milk curdles in 10minutesAdd sugar, vanilla extract and grated apples
STEP 6.Mix baking powder to maida. Mix well
STEP 7.Then add this milk mix to maida. Gently fold it.
STEP 8.....Pour this batter over the apples.. Bake it for 40 45 minutes at 170 degree.
STEP 9.Check with a tooth pick if it's done,if not bake for another 5-7 min .
STEP 10.Take it out of the oven.let it rest on the counter for 5-7 min.Run a thin silicone spatula all around the cake in the pan.Take a platter and turn the pan upside down on the platter and you will get a beautiful apple cake on your platter .
STEP 11.The cake should be warm while transferring it on the platter.
