Every year, on 18th May, World Whiskey Day is observed across the globe to celebrate one of the most royal and renowned liquors of all time. If you want to try a famous whiskey, here are six types you can try on the occasion.
The Scotland-origin drink Scotch, is known to have a range of flavours from smoky to fruity.
The American type, Bourbon is made with corn and is aged and charred in oak barrels, giving it a caramelised flavour.
If you are a beginner, you can start with Irish whiskey, as it has a light flavour profile to suit your palate.
Canadian whiskey, or rye whiskey, is known for its smooth profile and is often used in cocktails.
Single Malt is made with 100% malted barley and is available in many flavours ranging from peaty to honey.
