Winter Special Punjabi Palak Paratha Recipe For Cosy Meals

Packed with the goodness of spinach, these soft, green palak paneer parathas are both nutritious and flavourful. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or tiffins, they pair beautifully with curd, pickle, or even green chutney. 

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup blanched & puréed spinach 1 green chilli (optional) ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp ajwain 1 tsp ginger paste Salt to taste 1 tbsp oil or ghee Ghee/oil for roasting

Step 1

Blanch the spinach leaves for about 2 minutes in boiling water, drain, and blend with some green chilli and ginger to make a smooth purée.

Step 2

In a bowl, add flour, cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, and some salt. Add the spinach purée and mix to make a soft dough.

Step 3

Drizzle some oil and knead the dough well until it gets smooth and pliable. Keep it resting for 10–15 minutes.

Step 4

Divide the dough into small balls and roll each to make a flat paratha.

Step 5

Heat the tawa and cook each paratha from both sides until it turns golden and crisp. 

Step 6

Serve warm with some curd, pickle, or a dollop of butter to get a delicious meal.
