Besan sheera is a timeless Indian remedy that most grandmothers whip up in case of any allergies, cold, or sore throat. As for the winter season, here’s a quick recipe for besan sheera you must try.
2 tbsp ghee 3 tbsp besan 1 cup milk 1-2 tbsp jaggery or sugar 1/4 tsp turmeric (optional) 1/4 tsp cardamom powder 5-6 almonds (optional)
Heat some ghee in a pan on a low flame. Add besan and roast till aromatic.
Pour in milk and keep stirring to avoid lumps. Mix in jaggery and simmer.
Add turmeric powder if using, and cardamom powder. Cook for a few minutes.
Garnish with chopped almonds and sip the sheera hot.
