Are you looking for an evening snack that feels light and satisfying? Sprouts chaat is one such snack that feels fresh, crunchy in every bite, and perfect for a quick munch without feeling too heavy.
1 cup mixed sprouts (moong or moth) ½ cup boiled potatoes (cubed) ¼ cup chopped onion ¼ cup chopped tomato 2 tbsp chopped coriander 1 green chilli (finely chopped, optional) 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ tsp roasted cumin powder ½ tsp chaat masala Salt to taste 2 tbsp sev or roasted peanuts (optional for crunch)
Soak the sprouts overnight, then lightly steam or boil them for a few minutes if required to make them soft, but not mushy.
Transfer the sprouts to a bowl and add the boiled potato cubes to it.
To this, add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, and fresh coriander and mix everything nicely.
Sprinkle some roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt on this to season the chaat.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over this and toss nicely so that everything mixes.
Top it up additionally with sev or roasted peanuts for some extra crunch and serve immediately.
