Nothing feels as refreshing as a chilled glass of watermelon juice on a hot sunny day. Light, naturally sweet, and hydrating, this drink cools you down perfectly and is perfect to start your day on a fresh note.

Ingredients

3 cups watermelon (cubed, seeds removed) 1 tbsp lemon juice 4–5 leaves fresh mint 1–2 tsp sugar or honey (optional) 4–5 cubes of ice

Step 1

Cut the ripe, juicy watermelon into cubes, remove the seeds, and keep it to chill for a while before you blend.

Step 2

Add the watermelon cubes to the blender jar along with some fresh mint leaves to add a slight freshness to the drink.

Step 3

Blend everything until it turns out smooth and a bit frothy. Do not blend for too long, as watermelon releases a lot of water naturally, and the drink can turn out to be too thin.

Step 4

Add a few drops of lemon juice to the blended mixture. This will balance the sweetness and enhance the overall flavour.

Step 5

Taste and adjust the sweetness if required. You can also skip it if the watermelon feels naturally sweet.

Step 6

Pour this into a glass over ice cubes and serve instantly. Fresh watermelon juice tastes best when cold and freshly blended.
