Julep has roots dating back to the 18th century. It was originally prescribed as a medicinal drink, believed to have soothing properties. This iconic cocktail combines fresh apples, bourbon, sugar, and cinnamon, creating a refreshing and aromatic delight that is synonymous with Southern hospitality.
60ml of apple-flavoured brandy 15ml of bourbon 15 ml apple and cinnamon syrup Cinnamon powder, as needed Fresh apples, cut into moon shapes
Add the bourbon and apple brandy into a cocktail shaker. Give it a few shakes.
Add the syrup to the liquid mixture. Give it another shake.
Take a whiskey glass, pour the mixture into it.
Give it a few stirs. Sprinkle cinnamon powder as needed.
Add an apple to the glass rim. Serve cinnamon apple julep!
