Warm Palak Soup Recipe To Sip Your Way To Strength

There’s something about winter that makes us crave soul-satiating delicacies that we can nosh on while sitting cosily in the evenings amid the winter chill. And it turns out that a bowl of soup is one of the most comforting dishes of all. When it comes to choosing a more nutritious option, palak soup can be the perfect choice for this season. Palak, or spinach, is one of the most popular winter vegetables. The green leafy veggie comes loaded with several health benefits.

Ingredients

200grams of spinach, chopped roughly 2 cups of vegetable broth 3-4 cloves of garlic 1 tablespoon of butter 1 diced carrot 1/2 cup of peas 1 egg (optional) 2 teaspoons of black pepper powder Salt to taste

Step 1

In a pan, heat the butter and add chopped garlic. Cook them till they turn golden.

Step 2

Next, add the peas and carrots along with salt to break them down, and cook for another 8–10 minutes.

Step 3

After the carrots are soft, add the chopped spinach. It will take the spinach 2-3 minutes to soften.

Step 4

Add the vegetable broth. Add pepper and adjust the salt. Let the soup simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 5

After the soup comes to a boil, remove it from the heat. Serve hot and enjoy.
