Warm, buttery cookies packed with melting chocolate chips, crisp on the edges and soft in the centre, deliver that fresh-bakery feel at home. The aroma alone pulls everyone into the kitchen before the first batch is even done.
½ cup softened butter ½ cup brown sugar ¼ cup sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp vanilla essence 2 tbsp milk ¾ cup chocochips
Cream butter with both sugars until light and slightly fluffy using a whisk or hand mixer.
Add vanilla essence and milk, mixing until smooth and glossy.
Fold in flour and baking soda gently to form a soft dough without overmixing.
Stir in chocochips and chill the dough for 20 minutes for a better texture.
Scoop onto a baking tray and bake at 180°C for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centres remain soft.
