Viral Fruit Snack:  Chinese Tanghulu Recipe To Try At Home

People all over the world are talking about Tanghulu, a famous Chinese snack made of dried fruit. Some people don't get the hype, even though it tastes crunchy, because they like the natural sweetness of fruits and vegetables better than the sugar-coated form. However, for those who wanna try making it at home, here are the simple steps to follow 

Ingredients

100 gms sugar 50 ml water Assorted fruits (e.g., muskmelon, dragonfruit, grapes, kiwi) 

Step 1

In a glass, mix the water and sugar together. Microwave for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. 

Step 2

Put pieces of fruit on sticks. Dip the skewers in the sugar syrup once the sugar melts and gets a light brown colour. 

Step 3

Put them right away in ice-cold water to set.  While you eat the crunchy Tungulu and think about how it became popular and enjoy.
