The Veesova Koli Seafood Festival happens annually in the second or third week of January. Celebrating the Koli community’s home-style recipes, this year, the fest is scheduled for 23rd, 24th, and 25th January. To make the most of the event, don’t miss out on these 5 local dishes.

Bombil Fry

Bombil fry is the famous Bombay duck that is crispy on the outside with a soft interior. Served with a squeeze of lemon, it is a Versova classic.

Surmai Tawa Fry

With thick slices of fresh kingfish, the coastal dish is marinated in local and then pan-fried to perfection.

Stuffed Pomfret

As the name suggests, it is made by stuffing a whole pomfret with koli masala made with coconut, coriander, green chillies, and garlic.
