Upma is a popular South Indian breakfast option that is not just nutritious but delicious as well. To have a quick and filling meal in the morning, add veggies to your upma and enjoy.
¾ cup rava 1 onion ¾ cup mixed vegetables 1 cup water ½ teaspoon cumin seeds ½ teaspoon mustard seeds 1 pinch hing 2 green chillies Salt to taste Oil for cooking ¼ cup fresh grated coconut Lemon juice for garnishing Coriander leaves for garnishing
Wash suji, add it to a pressure cooker with a cup of water, and cook for two whistles.
Heat oil and add cumin and mustard seeds till they splutter.
Saute chopped onions, green chillies, and chopped vegetables and cook until soft.
Season with hing and salt. Add cooked jowar and mix well.
Stir in grated coconut and lemon juice. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, and serve.
