Vanilla Ice Cream That You Can Binge Eat Because It's Homemade

Enjoy the timeless pleasure of handcrafted vanilla ice cream, a dessert that perfectly captures the delicate sweetness of vanilla. 

Step 1 

Over medium heat, bring the milk, heavy cream, and sugar to a simmer in a saucepan. 

Step 2 

While swirling continually, add the heated milk mixture to the egg yolks that have been whisked separately. 

Step 3 

Put everything back into the pot and simmer it on low heat until it thickens into a custard. 

Step 4 

Turn off the heat and add the vanilla essence while stirring. 

Step 5 

When the custard has cooled, pour it into an ice cream machine and churn it as directed. 

Step 6 

Put the ice cream in an airtight container once it has reached a soft-serve consistency and freeze it for several hours to harden.
