Urad dal vada is a crispy delight loaded with protein. It is a healthy snack you can indulge in without guilt. This is a quick guide to make this deep-fried snack in a jiffy at home.
A few curry leaves salt to taste 2 tsp of rice flour 2 green chillies 1 cup of urad dal 1 tbsp coriander leaves ¼ cup of channa dal 1 inch ginger pinch of hing oil to fry 3 tbsp dry coconut
Wash and soak the lentils for 2-3 hours. Drain the excess water and grind into a smooth paste.
Add chillies, ginger, coriander, and dry coconut to the mixer. Add a pinch of hing too.
Stir the ingredients to incorporate air into the batter and shape it into vadas.
Drop the vadas in hot oil and deep-fry until they are golden brown and crispy.
You can serve vadas with coconut and tomato chutneys.
