A hot toddy is traditionally a warm cocktail made with whisky, honey, citrus, and hot water or tea. While it is often associated with winter, lighter variations can be enjoyed during summer evenings when the drink is served mildly warm or slightly chilled. The balance of honey sweetness and lemon acidity makes it soothing yet refreshing. This simple cocktail is easy to prepare and ideal for relaxed gatherings.
45 ml whisky 1 tbsp honey Juice of half a lemon ½ cup warm water or light tea Ice cubes optional Lemon slice and mint for garnish
Stir honey and lemon juice together in a glass until the honey dissolves completely.
Add whisky and warm water or tea and mix well.
Add a few ice cubes if you prefer a lightly chilled version.
Garnish with a lemon slice and mint leaves before serving.
