This banana bread latte captures the warm, spiced essence of a freshly baked loaf in a rich, velvety coffee format. By infusing milk with ripe banana, a hint of maple syrup, and a dash of warming spices, you create a comforting base that pairs beautifully with a strong shot of espresso. It is a luxurious morning treat that satisfies sweet cravings while delivering a perfectly balanced caffeine kick.
1 shot of hot espresso or strong brewed coffee 3/4 cup milk of your choice 2 tbsp ripe banana, thoroughly mashed 1 tsp maple syrup or brown sugar A pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg powder
Whisk the milk, mashed banana, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes to allow the banana and spices to infuse into the milk, then strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any pulp.
Froth the strained, spiced milk using a hand frother or blender until it develops a light, velvety foam.
Pour the hot espresso into your mug, top with the warm frothed milk, and finish with a light dusting of cinnamon.
