Turkish eggs are a comforting combination of poached eggs placed over garlicky yoghurt and topped with hot chilli butter. The dish is simple to prepare yet feels warm and indulgent.
2 eggs ½ cup thick yoghurt 1 garlic clove (grated) 1 tbsp butter ½ tsp chilli flakes Salt and pepper
Mix yoghurt with garlic, salt and pepper and spread it onto a shallow bowl.
Poach the eggs gently in simmering water until soft.
Melt butter in a pan, add chilli flakes and allow it to sizzle.
Place the poached eggs on the yoghurt and pour the hot chilli butter over them. Serve with toasted bread.
