Kharvas is a classic Maharashtrian dessert made from steaming colostrum milk into a pudding. It’s super easy to prepare when you need to satisfy your dessert cravings!
1 cup of colostrum milk 1 cup of normal milk 3-4 tbsp of monk fruit sweetener 2 tbsp warm water A few strands of kesar ½ tsp cardamom powder
In a bowl, add the normal milk and the colostrum milk and give it a good mix.
In a small bowl, add the monk fruit sweetener and warm water. Add to the milk mixture.
Stir it. In a mould, strain the mixture slowly. Sprinkle saffron and cardamom powder.
Over high heat, steam it for 25 minutes until it solidifies. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Cut into pieces and serve kharvas.
