Try This Spicy And Tangy Aam Tel Recipe, Perfect For Summer

Aam tel, also known as Mango oil, is known for its spicy, tangy and slightly sweet flavour. This dish is popular in India, especially during summers, and is served with paratha, rice, and snacks.

Ingredients

2 ripe mangoes 1/2 cup mustard oil 1 tbsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp mustard seeds 2-3 dried red chillies 1/4 tsp hing 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder (adjust to taste) Salt to taste 1-2 tbsp sugar

Step 1

In a pan, heat mustard oil, add chopped mangoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until they turn soft and pulpy.

Step 2

Add cumin, mustard seeds, red chillies, and hing, let them splutter.

Step 3

Mix turmeric, red chilli powder and salt. Cook it for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.

Step 5

Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, and adjust the consistency with water.
