This fusion dessert brings together Mysore Pak, a ghee-rich sweet from Karnataka, with the Italian idea of an affogato, where hot espresso is poured over ice cream. The contrast of warm coffee, cold cream and crumbly sweet creates a layered dessert experience.
2–3 pieces Mysore Pak, crumbled 1 scoop vanilla ice cream 1 shot hot espresso or strong coffee Chopped nuts optional
Place crumbled Mysore Pak at the base of a serving glass or bowl.
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
Pour hot espresso over just before serving so it melts slightly into the dessert.
Garnish with nuts if using and serve immediately.
