Jackfruit idli is a flavourful dish from Karnataka, a combination of the sweetness of ripe jackfruit and the wholesome taste of idlis. This famous South Indian dish is perfect for breakfast or a snack
2 cups ripe jackfruit pods (seeds removed, chopped) 1 cup idli rava 1 cup grated jaggery ½ cup fresh grated coconut ½ tsp cardamom powder A pinch of salt Idli moulds for steaming
Blend jackfruit, jaggery, and coconut into a coarse mixture and transfer it to a bowl.
Add the idli rava to the mixture, mix well and let it rest for 15-20 minutes for the rava to absorb moisture.
Mix cardamom powder and salt
Grease the idli moulds, fill them with the batter and steam the idlis for 15-20 minutes on medium heat.
Enjoy the jackfruit idlis warm as a breakfast or a snack.
