This well-known dumpling lasagna is a soothing, quick, and completely achievable dish that combines a savoury minced meat mixture with soft wonton wrappers and steams everything together!
500g of minced meat 1 cup of chopped napa cabbage 3 finely chopped green onions 1 freshly chopped piece of ginger 2 chopped garlic cloves 6 finely chopped mushrooms ½ tsp baking soda 2 tbsp sesame oil 2 tbsp mirin 2 tbsp oyster sauce ¼ cup soy sauce 1 pack of wonton wrappers Green onions, for garnish Chilli oil, for garnish
Put ground meat, chopped napa cabbage, green onions, ginger, garlic, mushrooms, baking soda, sesame oil, mirin, oyster sauce, and soy sauce in a big bowl.
Mix everything thoroughly using a fork or your hands. Next, arrange your mugs or ramekins. Start layering by placing a wonton wrapper on top of a tablespoon of the meat mixture at the bottom.
Gently press the wonton wrappers and filling layers one after the other until the ramekin is almost full.
Fill each ramekin with ⅓ cup of water before adding the last layer. To seal it in, place two wonton wrappers on top.
Place the ramekins into a Dutch oven or large pot with water halfway up the sides of the ramekins, and put the lid on the pot.
The meat should be cooked through, and the wonton wrappers should be soft and tender after about 20 minutes of steaming under a cover.
Serve warm from the ramekin after carefully removing from the steamer and garnishing with chopped green onions and chilli oil.
