South Indian-Style Curd Rice Tadka: Perfect Summer Treat At Home

Curd rice is a comforting South Indian dish that mixes creamy curd with cooked rice. This dish is popularly served with pickles and papad and is perfect for any time of the day.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked rice 1½ cups curd ½ cup milk Salt to taste For Tadka: 2 tbsp oil/ghee 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp urad dal 10-12 curry leaves 2 chopped green chillies 1 tsp grated ginger A pinch hing 1 tbsp cashews (optional) Coriander leaves for garnish

Step 1

Mix rice, curd, milk and salt in a bowl.

Step 2

Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, and add urad dal, curry leaves, chillies, ginger, and asafoetida.

Step 3

Pour tadka dal over curd rice, mix and garnish with coriander.

Step 4

Serve hot and fresh!
