Traditional hot-brewed iced tea can often turn bitter or cloudy due to the rapid release of tannins. The cold brew method is a game-changer; by steeping tea leaves in cold water for several hours, you extract a smoother, naturally sweeter infusion. When paired with the bright acidity of fresh pineapple, it results in a sophisticated, translucent beverage that is far more refreshing than any bottled tea.
2 tbsp loose-leaf black tea or 4 tea bags 1 liter cold filtered water 1 cup fresh pineapple juice 1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks 2 sprigs of fresh mint Honey or simple syrup to taste
Place the tea leaves or bags in a pitcher with the cold water. Cover and refrigerate for 8–12 hours.
Strain the tea into a fresh pitcher, discarding the leaves. You’ll notice the tea is exceptionally clear.
Stir in the fresh pineapple juice and sweetener until well combined.
Serve in tall glasses filled with ice, adding fresh pineapple chunks and mint sprigs for a burst of tropical aroma and a gentle energy lift.
