Tried Chinese Pakoda? Follow This Step-By-Step Guide

Aloo to pyaz, Indian pakoras are considered the best companions with evening tea. But have you tried Chinese pakoda yet? The crispy fritters are what you need to serve as appetisers during your next party.

Ingredients

1 cup grated carrot 1 tsp soy sauce and vinegar 1.5 cups cabbage 1/4 cup chopped capsicum 1 tsp chilli and ginger-garlic paste 2 tbsp corn flour salt to taste 1/2 chopped onion 1 chopped green chilli 1/2 cup maida oil 2 tbsp spring onion

Step 1

Combine cabbage, carrot, onion, spring onion, and capsicum in a bowl.

Step 2

Add salt and let the mixture rest. Drain the water released by vegetables.

Step 3

Add sauces, vinegar, corn flour, maida, green chillies, and ginger-garlic paste to the mix.

Step 4

Once you knead the ingredients into a paste of dough-like consistency, make small balls.

Step 5

Drop the small spheres into hot oil and deep-fry until crispy.

Step 6

Serve Chinese pakoda topped with spring onion and chutneys on the side.
