Bihar’s famous litti is a travelling food with a long shelf life. If you make it without onion and garlic and fry it, you can enjoy it for 3-4 days. Below is a guide to making your travel snack.
1 cup sattu 1 tbsp mango pickle Salt to taste ⅓ tsp hing 1 tbsp mustard oil 1 cup atta Water as needed 1 tsp red chilli powder 1-2 chopped green chilli Oil for frying
Add salt to the atta and knead a soft dough. Grease it with ghee and keep it aside.
In a bowl, mix sattu with spices, green chilli, mustard oil, and mango pickle.
Stuff small dough balls with the sattu blend.
Steam littis for 5 minutes.
Deep-fry litti until they are golden brown.
Store litti in an airtight container and enjoy.
